As Budget 2014 looms Taxi travels with passengers in five different cars over seven days in three cities – Dublin, Cork and Limerick. The film documents the passenger’s thoughts and views on the upcoming budget, while also providing a snapshot of their lives and the things that really matter to them. Taxi is real-life people and real life stories behind the issues trending in the country in one week in October 2013. It’s a quick turnaround factual format that can be built around any big current event – in this case as the national budget looms. The taxi journeys offer a way to capture current public opinion and stories in a very human, informal way.
