Animals Inside Out

The behaviours, biology and mechanics of animals are, quite simply, incredible and these programmes try to capture some of their fantastic stories. The series explores how animals work ….. inside and out. Professor Peter Wilson brings a half century of teaching experience in the Zoology Department of Trinity College to the dissection scenes, outlining in intimate detail the biology and physiology of cows, sheep, pigs, foxes, rabbits, fish, birds, horses and even lizards. His co-presenter, Ella McSweeney, who once studied zoology under Professor Wilson, tells us other stories about animal behaviours with some amazing wildlife films – from the primal instincts of eels and salmon to the mating rituals of deer to the birth and very first flight of a pigeon.
