Altan’s Mairéad Ní Mhaonaigh takes time out of her busy touring and recording schedule to explore some of the North’s most attractive spots and to visit some of her musical friends, who take her to the heart of Ulster’s thriving music scene. Mairéad visits Fermanagh, Derry, Belfast, Down, Tyrone and her own beloved Donegal. Household names Daniel O’Donnell, Juliet Turner, Adrian Dunbar and Brian Kennedy welcome Mairéad to their hometowns and treat her to some of the stories and memories which shaped their lives and led them on a remarkable musical path.
