The Heat Is On – Again

"Heated" TV programme presenters

Climate change is real. It’s happening now. Big policy, implemented properly and urgently, is needed to change our world… but across the country some people are doing quietly amazing things to make this island of ours a better place.

Heated Series 1 told some of those stories …  from the world’s first football club to appoint a climate justice officer to the community saving their Kerry coast from erosion; from charming Repair Cafés in Blanchardstown to sustainable wetsuits made from sea shells; from schools with their own anerobic digestors producing natural gas to the fashionable social entrepreneurs of Change Clothes Crumlin…

We’re now deep in production on Series 2. Journalist and farmer Hannah Quinn Mulligan, Dr Michelle McKeown of UCC’s School of Biological, Earth and Environmental Sciences and Rónán Ó Dálaigh, climate activist and founder of sustainable charity shop Thriftify all return to their starring roles.
